To start shortly, we are currently seeking for our department xEVSD an 

(Sr.) Engineer R&D Fuel Cell Technology (M/F/D)

You will be responsible for

We in HMETC see hydrogen as the key to the future and sense the great potential of fuel cell technology in the automotive sector. In this role, you will push the success of fuel cell powertrains for the European market. Your focus will be to ensure the safe operation and refueling of our fuel cell applications in all European countries.

  • Developing solutions for fast and efficient H2 refueling in close cooperation with R&D, the commercial vehicle team and the safety & regulations team
  • Monitoring and approving H2 refueling and smooth interoperability of our fuel cell driven passenger and commercial vehicles
  • Joining and representing our company in related committees and tech working groups such as CEP (Clean Energy Partnership) to jointly develop standards for fuel cell operation
  • Developing know-how and transferring this to other team members

Who we are looking for

  • Degree in electrical/ mechanical/ automotive engineering
  • Working experience in the gas industry or the area of fuel cell development in the automotive sector
  • First knowledge and high interest in standards for functional safety, gas safety and electrical safety for fuel cell electric drive trains
  • Ability for functional abstraction and simplification of complex systems
  • Willingness to travel and valid European driving license B; driving license C is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as a problem solving mentality
  • A very good command of English, intercultural & communication skills
  • Proficient in presenting, reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel
