(SR.) EXPERT PREMIUM CHASSIS DEVELOPMENT (M/F/D)

To start shortly, we are currently seeking for our department Chassis an 

(Sr.) Expert Premium Chassis Development (M/F/D)

You will be responsible for

  • Responsible for the Chassis performance development of Genesis premium vehicles for European market 
  • Benchmarking, performance evaluation and target definition for components, systems and full vehicle
  • Subjective and objective evaluation of NVH, steering, ride comfort and (limit) handling dynamics
  • Development and tuning of chassis components and systems (e.g. bushings, tires, active suspension, steering, vehicle dynamics control)
  • Identification of latest market and technology trends and developing new business relationships including scouting and implementation of latest development tools and updating of test procedures and assessment schemes
  • Reporting and documentation of results and strategy in English language towards senior and top management within the HMG
  • Representing HMETC as global expert, initiating and driving forward collaboration with our R&D Centre in Namyang (Korea) and suppliers

Who we are looking for

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or similar
  • 10+ years experience in chassis development of premium vehicles at an OEM
  • Expert knowledge, interest and passion in chassis development incl. state-of-the-art technologies e.g. air-springs, rear-wheel-steering, active roll control
  • Excellent vehicle evaluation and driving skills also on the limit
  • Good team worker with ability to negotiate technical solutions with opposing targets and driving forward regular communication and collaboration
  • Pro-active and self-motivated attitude
  • Good command of English language
  • Good computer and presentation skills (e.g. MS Office; simulation tools knowledge is a plus)
  • Willingness to travel and ability to work in an international environment
