To start shortly, we are currently seeking for our Body department a

(Sr.) Engineer for our Body Group (M/F/D)

You will be responsible for

  • Lead innovative R&D projects related to body parts like closures, trim or mechanisms for future vehicles targeting: weight reductions, performance increase, usability improvements, cost reductions, appearance improvements or others
  • Study EU market status related to future body technologies, analyze best practices and make project recommendations
  • Validate core technologies according to Hyundai requirements through part validation, material tests or customer clinics
  • Build up solid network with industry experts’ while visiting key conferences, suppliers, start-ups & research institutes
  • Make comprehensive trend and technology reports of your key findings & present to Hyundai management (in English)

Who we are looking for

  • The ideal candidate has: a background in the development of body parts at an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier and experience in pre-development/innovation projects, from the definition of project targets to execution and reporting
  • Education: Automotive, Mechanical Engineering degree
  • At least 3 years of professional experience at an automotive OEM, key Tiers or automotive research institute
  • Knowledge in the field of vehicle development, automotive requirements and R&D processes
  • Experience in leading conceptual & technical development of proof of concept/pre-serial part validations.
  • Excellent market knowledge of body technologies related to materials, processes, supply chains and OEM requirements
  • Strong pro-active attitude and innovative mind with a strategic, organized, but flexible working style
  • Analytical thinker with clear, output driven communication and deadline driven performance
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office, experience with CATIA V5 is beneficial
  • Good level of English in speech and writing, in possession of valid European driver license B
