To start shortly, we are currently seeking for our Body department a

(Sr.) Engineer for our Advanced Body Development Group (M/F/D)

You will be responsible for

  • Lead innovative R&D projects related to "Sustainability improvement and CO2 footprint reduction" for conventional vehicles but also Autonomous & New Mobility solutions
  • Study EU market status related to Sustainability, analyze best practices and make recommendations
  • Define viable business case & evaluate/test selected core technologies according to Hyundai requirements & customers
  • Build up solid network with industry experts’ while visiting key conferences, suppliers & research institutes
  • Make comprehensive reports of your key findings & EU Trends. Present key results to Hyundai management (in English)
  • Chemical/Material Engineering degree, or Automotive/Mechanical Engineering with strong material know how
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience at an automotive OEM, key Interior supplier or academics
  • Deep knowledge in the field of Sustainability, recycling, Eco developments, focused on material developments
  • Experience in conceptual & technical developments of proof of concept/pre-serial parts including validations.
  • Serial development experience is highly beneficial (at automotive OEM or supplier).
  • Excellent market knowledge of green technologies, materials, processes, suppliers and OEM requirements
  • Strong pro-active and time-bound attitude with an innovative mind; organized but very flexible working style
  • Analytical thinker with clear fact driven communication, pushing for maximum outputs for himself and the team
  • Experience in CO2 footprint calculations like LCA methodologies would be beneficial
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office needed, CATIA V5 experience could be beneficial
  • Good level of English necessary (written & spoken), EU driver license B required
