To start shortly, we are currently seeking for our HPVD department an

 (Sr.) Engineer for Vehicle dynamics/Chassis controls (M/F/D)

You will be responsible for

  • Chassis development for High Performance Vehicle for N/brand in collaboration with Team vehicle dynamics engineer
  • Benchmarking and target definition for components, system performance and vehicle performance
  • Suspension geometry definition, K&C, full-vehicle multi-body modeling/simulation, model validation with measurements
  • Focus on Chassis controls modeling/simulation and optimization for track driving through usage of dedicated tools
  • Chassis (DiL) model development for R&H Virtual tuning/evaluation.
  • Close collaboration with Engineering Design & Architecture Team and Test and Development Team supporting mass production and Advanced Prototype vehicle projects
  • Virtual Methodology Development focusing on vehicle dynamics/Chassis controls from State of Art to future technologies / Scouting and implementation of latest development tools
  • Close cooperation with HMETC departments and Korean R&D Center (ED, TD, PE/PT) as well as external partners
  • Documentation and presentation of project & development results in English language

Who we are looking for

  • Degree in mechanical, automotive engineering or similar
  • Minimum 2 year of related experience in virtual development in the field of vehicle dynamics, preferably with a focus on future high-performance vehicles
  • Software competences: Adams/CAR, VI-CarRealTime, Matlab & Simulink, Python or similar
  • Very good knowledge of vehicle dynamics theory, suspension kinematics and tire modeling
  • Background in Chassis Controls model development, optimization algorithms
  • Very good command of English, intercultural & communication skills and openness to work in a multi-national environment
  • Willingness to travel and valid European driving license B
